The Elizabethton “Betsy Band” is proud to announce that the Elizabethton Classic will return for a 4th year on Oct. 25th, 2025!
Elizabethton High School is located next to highway 321, less than 8 miles from I-26, outside of Johnson City. Our small campus is set up for an easy flow, allowing for optional front ensemble, and visual/guard warm-up areas, and a prop staging area in addition to the main band warm-up areas. There will be some construction this year to work around, but we will dedicate a significant effort to making sure that this event is still highest quality contest for our competing bands!
Our stadium seats 2500 on the home side and seating goes right down to the front sideline. Bands of all sizes will sound amazing in our facility! We are equipped with two concession stands, a massive parking lot for spectators, and are committed to making this a fantastic event for our competing bands! Pictures of Citizens Bank Stadium
There will be a Silver division for the smaller classes, as well as a Gold Division for the bigger classes, and a Grand Championship - the Mayor’s Cup. The Carter County Cup is a travelling trophy given to the highest scoring Carter County band, regardless of class. This will be a Tennessee Bandmasters sanctioned event with 4 judges - Music Effect, Music Ensemble, Visual Effect, Visual Ensemble - and the sub captions of Guard, Percussion, and Drum Major.
Classes are not predetermined, but are based on the size of the instrumental ensemble and will optimally have between 3-5 bands of comparable sizes.
